My Elevator Pitch
We hatched the idea for MyElevatorPitch.net mini-site in spring 2005. The basic idea was to provide a simple way for businesspeople in Richmond and beyond to try out their "elevator pitches" and get feedback from sales and marketing experts at Dancing Elephants and Right Angle Consulting.
For us, the site became an experiment in using the basic blog format in a new way — by allowing the public to become the authors and the site managers provide the comments. We put together a design that plays on a literal interpretation of the "elevator pitch" and a layout intended to focus attention on the newest pitch.
