Success at the pMachine Shootout!
Returning from a week long vacation in Europe (and awake now for nearly 20 hours), I thought I would do a quick check of the results from the pMachine Shootout to see if TDCD managed to place with any of our entries. I was delighted to find that we actually took First Place in the commercial category for the AIGA Richmond site, as well as 8th and 10th places for the Hertzler + George and Break Through sites respectively. The AIGA RVA entry evoked some kind words from the judges -- judges that include well-respected members of the web design community, and people whose work and words I follow regularly. Very cool.
I'll follow up with some context and a little more about the competition, but for now I need sleep. The last sleep I got was in a hotel in Amsterdam, separated now by tram rides, train rides, 8 hours on an airplane, and 2.5 on I-95 between NoVA and Richmond. Not to mention all the time spent just standing in airport lines. Stay tuned...
