iPod in the hizzouse!

Hire me to build you a podSite

For those of you that don't already know, the iPod is a really cool thing. Even my wife Meredith, who for the longest time chocked up my (near obsessive) love for my 3rd generation model as overblown Apple-related geekness, has fully embraced the joys of her newly acquired silver Mini. They are just too cool, and as a result people everywhere are finding (often inventing) new ways to use the little metal and acrylic devices for more than just toting their music collection.

PodSites are one such example. Essentially by using the iPod's notes features, you can create rich documents that folks can download and drop onto their iPod. I recently downloaded Westciv's CSS podGuide — a handy little guide to all things CSS related. Now, I'll admit that since downloading it, I have only referenced it once...but it's totally rad and much easier than carrying around a pocket reference (which I was already doing).

Which brings me to my point — you need to hire me to make a podSite for you. I need an excuse. There are a million possibilities...Your Top Ten Pointers on Selling Widgets, your restaurant's menu (updated weekly!), the Choose Your Own Adventure book you just finished. Maybe you want to give iPods as gifts to your best customers. Include your company's catalog in handy podSite form along with the gift.

Give me a call, we'll think of some more.
